"Gepard" Tethered Aerostats with mobile mooring system
The aerostat is capable to increase both: efficiency and range of modern portable radars. It allows to successfully use aerostatic complex for low altitude missiles detection and over-the-hill surveillance. Additionally the complex can be equipped by high resolution stabilized camera and infrared camera. Altogether it can be used as a powerful border guard with the 170-300 km range. Some other uses are possible: early detection of forest fires, continuous surveillance of sea borders, detection of illegal craft and fishing etc.

Designed to operate at an altitude of 2,000 m and lifting payloads weighing up to 350kg, power supplying through cable rope. “Gepard” LTA payload can include a wide range of different equipment (radars, gyrostabilised opto-electronic systems, communications, targeting systems, electronic intelligence etc) enables 24 hours surveillance and effective control over the territory of a 80 km radius.
“Gepard” can be equipped with aerostats of various sizes (from 1,200 to 1,800 cubic meters), which allows to select the optimal size for an effective solution to a particular task.
A distinctive feature of the aerostat is a mobile restraint (mounted on a trailer), allowing to relocate the complex in a very short time.
